A 27-year-old individual has been accused following an incident in Newport on Saturday evening.
Curtis Green, who lives in Melbourne Way, Newport, is alleged to have wrecked a vehicle on Skinner Street at approximately 10.35pm on the second of August.
Police responded to the occurrence and Green was taken into custody on suspicion of destroying property and contravening a community protection notice.
He has now been charged with these offences and granted conditional liberty.
His case will be heard at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Friday, the twenty-first of August.
A representative from Gwent Police confirmed that officers were alerted to a report concerning destruction of a car on Skinner Street, Newport, at around 10.35pm on Sunday, the second of August.
Officers attended and detained a man aged 27 on suspicion of criminal damage and breach of a community protection notice.
Curtis Green, from Melbourne Way, Newport, was subsequently charged with these offences and granted conditional bail to appear at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Friday, the twenty-first of August.
