Major delays hit motorway network during morning rush hour

Good afternoon and thank you for joining our live coverage.

Traffic Wales has reported significant delays affecting the M4 motorway in Newport this afternoon.

We will continue to provide updates on the current situation.

Delays are being experienced on the following routes:

– M4 eastbound at junction 33 Capel Llanilltern off-slip

– A470 southbound between Taffs Well and Coryton

– M4 westbound between junction 24 Coldra and junction 26 Malpas

– A4232 northbound between Culverhouse and junction 33 Capel Llanilltern

Severe congestion is affecting the M4 in Newport.
