The A4042 has additionally been affected by this situation.

Witnesses at the scene indicate that the queue extends back to Cwmbran Drive and Pontrhydyrun.

Significant congestion is present on the A5051 between The Ashbridge roundabout and The Rechem Roundabout. The A4042 has also been affected.

The A5051 appears to be impacted by Croesyceiliog North.

Officers have attended the scene.

They reported that they received a report of a road traffic collision on the A4051 between the Ashbridge roundabout and the Rechem Roundabout at around 3.15pm on Friday 27 March. The collision involved four cars and no serious injuries have been reported.

The traffic has now cleared.
