Passengers travelling by bus across Wales are set to gain from increased services on key routes throughout the summer season.

The operator has revealed enhancements to its TrawsCymru network this summer, covering modifications to the T4 line linking Merthyr Tydfil with Newtown and the T10 route between Bangor and Corwen.

The changes take effect from March 28, introducing extra services at weekends, on bank holidays, and throughout the school holiday period.

According to Mark Jacobs, who oversees planning and development for TrawsCymru, these adjustments will provide better opportunities for residents and visitors to discover what Wales has to offer during the warmer months. He explained that the aim is to simplify bus travel and that boosting service frequency on these two well-used routes should encourage additional passengers to use the network this summer.

On the T10 line, buses will run every hour between Betws-y-Coed and Bangor on Saturdays, Sundays and weekdays when schools are on holiday.

The T4 will shift to an hourly schedule between Brecon and Merthyr Tydfil on Sundays and bank holidays.

Further minor adjustments to the T4 schedule will be introduced from April 13 to enhance timekeeping and service reliability.

The upgrades aim to address rising passenger numbers.
