Officials Urge Motorists to Steer Clear of Road Works Closure

Officers have urged drivers to steer clear of Lower Harpers Road in Pontypool.

We have reached out to Gwent Police for further details regarding the nature of this blockage.

Social media posts from witnesses indicate that a large goods vehicle has become lodged in the lane, near the bridge.

A representative for Gwent Police stated that the force received notification of a lorry becoming stuck on Lower Harpers Road, Pontypool, at approximately 3.45pm on Monday 30 March.

The Gwent Police representative told the Argus that officers are present at the scene to help manage traffic flow.

Drivers have been recommended to take different routes where they can.
