Social media posts from witnesses and accompanying photographs indicate that Nancy’s Café on Nelson Road is ablaze.
According to those present at the scene, rail services are bypassing Ystrad Mynach and proceeding directly to Hengoed and Llanbradach.
Nelson Road has been closed because of the fire.
Local residents report that queues of vehicles have formed through Ystrad Mynach extending in the direction of Nelson.

The AA has reported that the A472 is blocked in both directions between Tredomen Park, also known as Tredomen Roundabout, and Lewis Street as a consequence of the fire.
Transport for Wales has indicated that rail services through Ystrad Mynach are now running to schedule.
Social media reports from witnesses state that Nelson Road has reopened to traffic.
Gwent Police have verified that the road has now reopened.
