Innovative garden units shield birds, plants and pollinators

Published on

A fresh collection of wall-mounted garden units is supporting biodiversity enhancement in urban areas. Eggologic offerings, created to offer shelter for avian species and pollinators, promote utilising outdoor spaces as the breeding season gets underway. The Eggologic Nester unit, built alongside bird specialists, is designed for compact to medium-sized avian species including sparrows and flycatchers. The item highlights the significance of garden birds in fostering a thriving ecosystem.

The Nester unit’s exterior is manufactured from fully recycled resin, protecting it against predators and environmental conditions. These feature a removable inner lining composed of natural wood fibre, maintaining thermal insulation and controlling moisture levels. Its construction helps prevent the mould, decay and insect problems commonly affecting wooden nest boxes. Four entry guards in varying sizes are supplied to draw different bird species.

Guidance on positioning recommends orientating units between northern and northeastern directions to shield from direct sunlight and wind, with a suggested minimum mounting height of two metres. Eggologic’s catalogue additionally encompasses containers for vegetation and bee populations. All these pioneering items are sold via the official Eggologic website. For outdoor space proprietors seeking to take preventive measures during the new season, these environmentally-conscious units present an option that safeguards the natural world while enhancing gardens with richer biodiversity.
