Two cars smashed into each other on West Street in Bargoed on Tuesday afternoon, which brought emergency services to the scene.
The incident was called in to Gwent Police at around 3.45pm on April 14. As a result of the smash, West Street was blocked off where it meets Henry Street, and diversions were put in place for those travelling through. Officers from Gwent Police and staff from the Welsh Ambulance Service both attended the site.
Drivers faced hold-ups because of the closure. The AA observed at 4.53pm that traffic was managing fine despite the shut road between Vicarage Lane and Greenfield Street. Officials appealed to motorists to stay away from the vicinity while responders dealt with the situation.
