A convicted paedophile sent messages to who he believed was a minor expressing desires to embrace, kiss and have physical contact with her.
David Lewis, aged 53, residing at Manor Way in Ty Sign, Risca admitted guilt to the charge of attempting to establish sexual communication with someone under 16 years old.
The criminal conduct took place through digital platforms spanning from December 1, 2025 through January 15.
Proceedings were put off until May 1 to allow time for a pre-sentence report to be compiled.
Lewis received a mandatory sex offender registration order.
He was released on conditional bail following his appearance at Newport Magistrates’ Court.
