Man appears in court accused of violent disorder and being armed with metal bar

Newport Chronicle: Gentian Cullhaj, 35, is accused of violent disorder on Oliphant Circle in the Malpas area of Newport

A man has appeared in court accused of violent disorder and being armed with a metal bar following an incident in Newport last weekend. Gentian Cullhaj, 35, has been accused of violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon in public on Oliphant Circle in Malpas on Saturday, April 11. The defendant, of Howard Street, Gloucester did not enter any pleas after he appeared at Newport Magistrates' Court. His case was committed to the crown court where he is due to appear on May 11. Cullhaj was granted conditional bail by District Judge Sophie Toms.
