Van driver accused of causing serious injury to pedestrians in town centre

Newport Chronicle: Kane Scanlon is accused of causing serious injury by dangerous driving to two pedestrians in Caerphilly town centre

A man has been accused of causing serious injury to two pedestrians by dangerously driving a van in a town centre. Kane Scanlon, 26, is alleged to have caused serious injury to Eva Lyons and Kenneth Evans on Castle Street in Caerphilly on November 19, 2024. The defendant, of Mostyn Road, Ely, Cardiff did not enter any pleas after he appeared at Newport Magistrates' Court. His case was committed to the crown court where he is due to appear on May 15. Scanlon was granted unconditional bail.
