Kaden Brown, 21, of Hanbury Grove, Pontypool, was handed a £257 penalty covering fines, costs and an additional charge after confessing to travelling above the speed limit in a 50mph district. Three points were recorded on his driving record.

Jake Phillips, 32, residing at Bryn Terrace, Blaenavon, received a £1,117.34 penalty encompassing costs and outstanding vehicle excise duty for keeping a car without an active licence.

Alan Sturgeon, 79, from Brigantine Grove, Newport, had his driving entitlement suspended for half a year after entering a guilty plea for excess speed in a 20mph sector. He was also directed to pay £270 comprising fines, costs and an additional charge.

Adam Barrington, whose address is Deepwater Drive, Newport, was ordered to pay £220 for owning a vehicle lacking valid documentation, along with £85 in costs and £66.25 in arrears.

Lyndsey Howe, 45, of Daisy View, Cwmfields, Pontypool, was required to settle £428 in fines, costs and a surcharge for viewing or operating a television set without appropriate authorisation.

Sean Higgins, 40, from Arail Street, Six Bells, Abertillery, was banned from driving for six months after pleading guilty to refusing to provide a breath or blood specimen while responsible for a vehicle in Fleur-de-Lys, Blackwood on March 29. He must additionally pay £365 in penalties, costs and a surcharge.

Brett Jon Williams, 34, from Phillip Street, Risca, was penalised £220 with £85 costs and £27.50 in arrears for running a vehicle without correct documentation.

Ail Ahmed, 34, living at Lysaght Way, Newport, was directed to pay £922.92 in penalties, costs and back duty for operating a vehicle without a valid licence.

KSZ Taxis Ltd, operating from Commercial Road, Newport, was fined £220 plus £85 costs and £16.25 in back duty for employing an unlicensed vehicle.

CMB Traffic Management Ltd, based at Enterprise Way, Newport, was ordered to pay £85 costs and £143.75 in back duty for using a vehicle without valid licensing.
