Reality television enthusiasts with Sky subscriptions now have access to hundreds of programmes without paying anything additional.
Starting July 29, qualifying viewers can stream more than 250 programmes via Hayu, a platform specialising in unscripted content including The Real Housewives franchise and Below Deck, without needing a separate payment or subscription.
This partnership provides Sky Ultimate TV subscribers along with Sky Q and Sky+ package holders on-demand viewing of complete series runs, including new episodes that drop simultaneously with their American release.
The platform offers every season of viewer favourites such as The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Below Deck Mediterranean, and a special 20th anniversary run of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
All Hayu programming forms part of the existing Sky TV subscription, eliminating the requirement for extra applications or login credentials.
The rollout follows a limited preview called Taste of Hayu that Sky Ultimate TV customers experienced in March, and the full service has now been expanded to Sky Q and Sky+ households.
Hayu material sits directly within the Sky TV interface, allowing qualifying subscribers to find and watch reality content alongside other entertainment options.
Viewers can browse Hayu catalogue through custom suggestions, pick up programmes where they previously stopped, or locate specific titles using spoken instructions like Hello Sky, play Below Deck Mediterranean or simply watch Hayu.
Those with Sky Glass and Sky Stream devices can incorporate Hayu programmes into their Playlist alongside material from other channels and services.
The Sky Ultimate TV bundle, available from £24 monthly, already packages Sky TV, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu within one membership.
Sky states that adding Hayu enhances its collection of must-watch entertainment, which also includes Sky Original productions and exclusive material such as Katie Price: Nothing to Hide and Five Star Weekend.
Subscribers can also view programming remotely using Sky Go and benefit from having all major streaming platforms consolidated under one roof.
This announcement coincides with Sky discontinuing a well-known sports channel after 13 years of operation earlier this month.
While one channel is ending, temporary alternatives are appearing, with viewer programme guides undergoing modifications.
The primary alteration involves the closure of TNT Sports.
Previously operating as BT Sport, TNT Sports debuted in 2013 and broadcast events including football matches, boxing bouts, rugby contests, and additional sports content.
The brand maintains presence on EE TV, Sky, and Virgin Media platforms across the United Kingdom.
HBO Max arrived in the UK during March, taking over as the streaming destination for TNT Sports content.
However, after 13 years, Sky has terminated the Standard Definition transmission of TNT Sports.
This occurs as the broadcaster progresses with its gradual transition towards High Definition broadcasting.
