A father and toddler daughter have gone viral after sharing videos of their cute bike rides.

Gareth Williams and two-year-old Indie brighten up the days of millions with their cycling adventures.

The toddler loved “scooting around the house” on her little bike she got when she was two-months-old – so dad decided to buy a saddle and a handlebar to put on his bicycle.

The videos of their adventures on the mountains above their home have gathered over three millions views in total – something that Gareth was not at all expecting.

Her love for nature and their trips has meant they get to go on rides in Blaenau Gwent, Wales, nearly every day.

Their Instagram account ‘Daddy Daughter Rides’ has gained nearly 15,000 followers in two weeks.

Drainage technician Gareth, 33, said: “It’s amazing for me, biking is a real passion of mine I’ve done it all my life and to be able to do it with Indie now being so young I thought I would have to wait a couple of years yet to be able to go on bike rides with her.

“I bought her one [bike] when she was two weeks old because I got a little bit too excited and obviously she wasn’t able to ride it then when she was one I gave it to her on her first birthday and she sat on it.

“She just used to scooting around the house on it. She enjoyed riding it just as much as playing with anything else really.

“When I had a saddle and a handlebar set up on my bike I didn’t know whether she was going to like it or not but the minute we put her on there and I started peddling she started laughing and just went from there.

“If she sees my bike she’ll ask ‘can we ride daddy’s bike?’

“Also she never wants to go home she always wants to do another loop – she just loves it.”

Dad Gareth had not planned to post videos on social media, but he was so happy with a bike ride they did around their local woodland and mountain that he recorded it.

Indie’s interactions with animals and nature created a lovely response from friends and family and so Gareth decided to create an account for their videos.

He said: “The first couple of videos that I recorded I just sent them to friends and family to look at ’cause it was just so funny with the way she was talking.

“The response that we had from friends and family was just really nice and I posted it on my personal Instagram and then everyone responded to that amazingly as well.

“I decided to start a dedicated page for it there where I thought just friends and family would follow – and it just grew and grew.”

On the videos Indie loves trying to spot the Highland cows, as well as horses and birds.

Gareth said: “She just generally loves being outdoors.

“Obviously you have got a little bit more freedom rather being inside. She loves being in the garden with her toys.

“But then she is really interested in animals and just general nature – she loves birds, the cows, horses, sheep.

“Especially being up the mountain you tend to see quite a lot where we are.

“The cows were always around the estate that we live in. We didn’t realise this at the time and our dogs started barking and we looked out the window to see what he was barking at because he never barks and there was a cow stood in our garden looking through the window at us.

“Now she thinks that the cows are always going to be down on the estate so I think that’s why she goes looking for the cows but they’re always on the mountain above I just ride up to there to see them.”

Adrenaline junky Gareth said they only go out for rides when it’s really dry but he tries to take her out most days if he can.

And speaking about the footage he shares online he said: “Around people she doesn’t know she is actually quite shy but with us and close friends and family she’s just so talkative.

“She doesn’t seem to bothered with the camera – it’s just something that’s there and she doesn’t really pay attention to it really which is good.”

He said that the response he’s got in these last two weeks has been “so positive” with videos reaching viewers from all around the world.

Indie’s Welsh accent has also been picked up by the viewers.

Gareth explained: “A lot of people say that it has brighten up their day watching the videos which is amazing and how forward she is with her speech.

“A lot of people comment on the Welsh accent which has been pick up a lot saying how wonderful it is.

“It’s so positive and it’s been so uplifting really. It’s all Indie really and I think she has just picked up a lot of words.”

Gareth said his ultimate goal is to go on bike rides with Indie on her own bike.
