Police locate stolen car after spotting careless driving on patrol

Published on

The Caerphilly Central neighbourhood policing team has confirmed that officers discovered a car that had been reported as missing after spotting it being driven dangerously during a routine patrol.

Police investigations revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen just a few days beforehand.

A Gwent Police spokesperson indicated that the local neighbourhood team came across the car while carrying out their patrol duties, having first noticed it being driven in a hazardous manner. Once checks confirmed the vehicle had been stolen several days earlier, it was seized.

Gwent Police is asking residents to contact them on 101 with information about any criminal activity involving motor vehicles.

In emergencies, people should call 999.
