Youngsters at a Caerphilly primary school got to grips with police equipment during a visit from Gwent Police officers.

The event took place at Cwm Ifor Primary School in Penyrheol on Thursday, 6th August as part of the summer playscheme programme.

PCSOs from Caerphilly South joined the school activities, giving pupils the chance to examine a police vehicle up close, try on officer uniforms and design their own crime scene layouts.

The session also included a football match and plenty of enthusiastic questioning from the children, who thoroughly enjoyed the interactive experience.

The policing team described the morning as filled with happy faces and said they hoped to revisit the school again in the future.
