A clothing retailer has entered administration with notices appearing in store windows stating all items must be sold.

Leading Labels, which carried labels such as Calvin Klein and Ben Sherman, is anticipated to shutter all 15 of its remaining outlets after a liquidator was appointed.

Jeremy Bleazard from XL Business Solutions Limited was appointed as liquidator on May 26, with a formal announcement appearing on June 1 in The Gazette.

Branches had been displaying closing down sale signage for a number of weeks, including the Ipswich location in April.

The business’s website is no longer accessible, telephone calls to its customer service telephone number receive no response, and electronic messages are returned undelivered.

A notice displayed at the Bolton branch in April indicated the store was closed due to unforeseen circumstances and apologized for any inconvenience caused.

A representative for The Market Place, the shopping centre housing the Bolton branch, acknowledged there had been some internal difficulties with the company.

The formal announcement in The Gazette indicated that resolutions were passed on May 26, 2026, as special and ordinary resolutions respectively, specifying that the company would be wound up voluntarily and that Jeremy Bleazard of XL Business Solutions Limited would be appointed as liquidator for the purposes of such voluntary winding up.

Leading Labels presented itself as among Britain’s biggest retailers stocking multiple brands.

The business had outstanding debts recorded at Companies House, which now shows it is in administration.

The shutdown of Leading Labels occurs fewer than two weeks after word that another fashion retailer, Quiz, would cease operations across all 37 of its remaining British outlets.
