Newport’s Kingsway Centre transformed by special comic book fans fair

Published on

The Kingsway Centre in Newport became a celebration of comic book culture as enthusiasts arrived dressed in colourful costumes and cosplay outfits.

The shopping centre took on the appearance of a convention venue for a special Comic Book Fair organised to coincide with Free Comic Book Day.

Stalls were set up throughout the walkways, offering back issues, graphic novels, manga, toys, and collectibles for shoppers to browse while snapping photos with costumed attendees.

Sin City Comics & Gaming coordinated the fair and gathered independent traders from throughout the region.

The event catered to all ages and interests, from seasoned collectors seeking rare finds to families and newcomers exploring different titles.

The mall buzzed with vibrant energy as fans navigated the comic universe, searched for deals, and soaked up the celebratory mood.

Children were treated to complimentary comics and snacks while exploring the various stalls.

The gathering also showcased Newport’s expanding comic and gaming scene while demonstrating how specialised events can bolster local enterprises, draw visitors, and revitalise the high street.

Many departed with carriers full of comics, collectibles, and fresh reading material, already anticipating the next event.
