A venue on a popular seaside stretch fell victim to criminal damage in late April.
View 62, situated in Barry overlooking the seafront walkway, was struck by an incident involving a person wearing a hood and mask on Tuesday, April 21.
The establishment posted video material on social media platforms showing CCTV recordings of the individual arriving at approximately 10pm and repeatedly striking the windows with an implement, resulting in the glass breaking apart.
In the accompanying statement, View 62 labelled this as the third assault in recent months perpetrated by the same person who appears to have no consideration for commercial enterprises in the locality.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said that the destruction of property had been brought to their attention, though unfortunately establishing the identity of the culprit had not proved feasible thus far.
The spokesperson added that enduring such criminal conduct was upsetting, costly, and troublesome, most especially when it happened on multiple occasions. A crime prevention specialist would work alongside the premises to introduce strategies designed to avert further occurrences.
View 62 addressed its customers, voicing resolve not to be demoralised by the incident and dedication to preserving hopeful perspectives, with intentions to provide seasonal ambience to guests.
The establishment is understood to have a number of significant projects planned for the summer period, as the Island gets ready to emerge as a lively hotspot.
