Historic Gwent Pharmacy Sold After Thriving Period

Published on

A dispensing business in Gwent featuring expansion potential has changed hands.

Llanhilleth Pharmacy, located in the village of Llanhilleth adjacent to the Brecon Beacons National Park, has been acquired from its long-term operator, Dr Satish Narang, who managed the company for 15 years.

The pharmacy handles approximately 7,370 prescription items each month and was sold to allow Dr Narang to pursue alternative business ventures.

Following a confidential sales process managed by Christie & Co, the enterprise has been taken over by Mohammed Din representing Din Healthcare Limited, a first-time proprietor based in Cardiff.

Richard Thomas, senior business agent for pharmacy at Christie & Co, said that the company was pleased to have arranged the sale of Llanhilleth Pharmacy, which is a successful operation together with a substantial freehold property providing considerable development potential.

He added that an extensive marketing campaign attracted strong interest, resulting in an agreement completed with Din Healthcare Limited, who he is confident will lead this pharmacy towards ongoing success.

He noted that the market in South Wales is currently displaying robust activity, with buyers from England beyond the border drawn by the increased value provided by the Welsh contract.

The financial details of the deal remain confidential.
