The Riverfront Theatre and Arts Centre is asking pantomime audiences to help name the Ugly Sisters in its Christmas production of Cinderella.

Richard Elis and Gareth Tempest will play the two characters during the festive run, which is scheduled from November 27 until December 31.

Entries are being taken beneath a competition video on the theatre’s social accounts. Suggested pairs can follow traditional pantomime themes, use rhymes or take a more unusual approach.

The account names listed for the competition are TheRiverfront for Facebook, RiverfrontArts for Instagram and NewportLiveUK for TikTok. The winning entrant will receive a family ticket for the show.

Tickets are being sold through Newport Live. Four Christmas Cracker dates are listed: 7pm on November 27, 5.30pm on November 28, 7pm on December 4, and two performances at 1.30pm and 5.30pm on December 31. Seats for those performances cost £18, with no additional discounts.
