An artist from Canada is set to take to the stage in Newport.
Gordie Tentrees, a multiple-award-winning performer and two-time International Acoustic Music Award recipient, will appear at Phyllis Maud in Newport on August 25.
The Newport appearance forms part of his UK tour alongside multi-instrumentalist Kieran Poile.
He is supporting his forthcoming record Dandelion Blue, scheduled for release on October 19, which follows his recent single Telegraph, launched on August 18.
The album was laid down in Ontario, Canada, alongside musicians Jimmy Bowskill and Steve Marriner.
Mr Tentrees commented that for this particular record, he felt prepared to produce an album with a live quality and minimal additional recordings that would give the impression of two musicians playing on a front porch that the listener has wandered upon, creating an immersive experience that feels close, unpolished and authentic.
Mr Tentrees first gained recognition among British audiences back in 2010 while touring with Fred Eaglesmith.
He has since accumulated over 5,000 performances across 11 nations and has featured at renowned events such as Celtic Connections.
Tickets for his Newport performance can be purchased through the internet.
