A spellbinding photo opportunity is coming to South Wales as part of celebrations across Britain for Harry Potter.

A reproduction of the famous Platform 9¾ luggage trolley, which gained fame through the Harry Potter movie series, will be shown at Cineworld Cardiff on Mary Ann Street as part of a tour spanning the United Kingdom.

The display honours the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone reaching audiences and will be open to enthusiasts from 10am until 10pm on August 24 and 25.

A representative from Warner Bros. commented that a quarter of a century ago, viewers globally first encountered Platform 9¾ on screen and found themselves drawn into an enchanting world that would inspire countless generations.

The representative added that now, supporters outside the capital will have the opportunity to participate in the wonder and see one of the most well-known and frequently photographed Harry Potter installations worldwide, which greets millions of visitors annually at King’s Cross Station in London.

The trolley, which seems to disappear into the station wall in the movies, will allow guests to recreate the scene where Harry sets off for Hogwarts School.

The occasion carries no admission charge, and photographs are offered in order of arrival.

To mark the milestone further, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone is returning to cinema screens featuring 12 minutes of previously unreleased footage from behind the camera.

The picture, which premiered in 2001, brought J.K. Rowling’s magical realm to the screen and rapidly became the highest-earning release of that year, spawning one of cinema’s most prosperous franchises.

Enthusiasts can return to the wonder of Harry’s inaugural trip to Hogwarts and commemorate the motion picture that first introduced audiences to Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
