A care organisation has broadened its operations by taking over supported living facilities.

Iris Care Group has purchased Elysium Cymru Ltd, which runs The Grove and Kensington Place in Newport.

The acquisition will enhance Iris Care Group’s supported living offerings for adults with complex requirements.

Dr Andy Jones, chief executive officer at Iris Care Group, stated that the purchase of Elysium Cymru Ltd marks another stage in Iris Care Group’s ongoing expansion.

It further demonstrates the organisation’s strategic focus on establishing and providing high-quality services with strong reputations for adults with complex needs.

The group remains dedicated to investing in its services, facilities and workforce to ensure continued delivery of care that helps individuals lead independent and meaningful lives.

Founded in 2008, Elysium Cymru Ltd provides specialist supported living and residential care.

The purchase brings Iris Care Group’s total portfolio to 63 services, encompassing specialist hospitals, residential care, nursing provision and a special educational needs college.

The group advised that the deal reflects sustained operational growth and an ongoing dedication to elevated standards of care and quality.

Iris Care Group confirmed it continues prioritising the improvement of specialist care throughout the UK through additional acquisitions and the development of new community-based services.
