Pressure is mounting for more decisive measures as blazes continue to ravage extensive areas of Wales.
Elected officials and local populations are urging the Welsh administration to intensify its efforts, with emergency services operating under severe strain after both South Wales and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Services triggered major incident protocols.
Laura Anne Jones MS, Reform UK’s opposite number for Food, Farming and Rural Affairs, stated that while the Welsh administration delays, the nation burns. She noted that firefighters and agricultural workers have been fighting these infernos for several weeks and are completely worn out, with grazing terrain left in ruins and animal habitats obliterated. She added that Reform UK recognises this as the crisis it truly represents and that the Welsh administration must do the same.
