Refuse and recycling services will get underway sooner than usual this week because of the heat.
Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council announced that teams will commence operations at 6am on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as temperatures are forecast to rise above 30C once more.
The authority has also cautioned that some interference is likely, and any missed collections resulting from the warm conditions will be rescheduled.
According to a council representative, the early morning starts at 6am on those three days have been arranged in response to the anticipated high temperatures. Residents were asked to be aware that some disturbances may occur, and that the council would come back as soon as possible to collect anything missed. The statement concluded with gratitude for public patience while the authority looked after its frontline workers.
