Three individuals were discovered with suspected Class A drugs during a police patrol at the beginning of this week.
The three people were approached by officers from the Abergavenny neighbourhood unit on August 5, as part of focused patrols designed to lower anti-social behaviour and criminal activity in the locality.
Gwent Police announced that the three people would be processed through the relevant procedures.
According to a Gwent Police representative, the Abergavenny Neighbourhood Team has been undertaking proactive patrols as part of continuous work to address crime and anti-social behaviour locally. During these patrols, officers came across a group of individuals using narcotics. Searches were conducted, which led to three people being discovered with suspected Class A drugs. The three individuals will now be processed through the relevant procedures.
Officers additionally confiscated an electric scooter that was being ridden illegally.
The representative added that officers also took possession of an electric scooter that was being ridden illegally. The force intends to persist with patrols throughout the community to disrupt criminal activity and ensure neighbourhoods remain secure. Members of the public who possess information about crime or anti-social behaviour in their vicinity are asked to contact the force.
