Night-time road improvements will cause bus route changes this week.
Newport Bus has confirmed adjustments to the 29 and 29A lines on Thursday, 6 August, because of scheduled maintenance on Caerleon Road.
Part of Caerleon Road between Duckpool Road and Richmond Road will be shut from 10pm until 6am.
Three services face disruption: the 29A departing Newport at 9.50pm and 11pm, along with the initial 29 service at 5.22am on Friday 7 August.
The replacement route will carry these buses along Heidenheim Drive, through the second exit at the roundabout, across the M4 bridge, and back onto Caerleon Road using the slip road in the direction of Caerleon.
Services leaving Cwmbran at 9.32pm and 10.20pm will follow the same diversion but in the opposite direction, exiting at the third junction of the Caerleon Road M4 roundabout.
A number of stops will be inaccessible during the closure, encompassing Clarence Place, Caerleon Road, Gloster Place, Annesley Road, Richmond Road, Oak Street, the Christadelphian Hall, and Gloster Road.
One service remains unaffected: the 29A leaving The Grange University Hospital for Newport Bus Station at 5.53am will continue along its usual path.
Newport Bus has expressed gratitude to travellers for their tolerance.
