Chepstow Town Council put forward support for a planning application concerning a new garage.
Schemes for the standalone single-storey double garage situated at 1 Camp Road, Bulwark, received endorsement during the planning and administration committee gathering on July 22.
The structure will feature a dual-pitch roof crafted from oak and will occupy a portion of the present driveway and garden area.
Members additionally voiced support for the change of use application regarding the ground floor of 11 Welsh Street, shifting from commercial to residential purposes.
A retrospective submission to increase the fence alongside 2 St George Road to a height of six feet also received backing, though members pointed out that individuals ought to obtain necessary permissions prior to starting any projects.
The Five Alls Inn on Hocker Hill Street was granted accelerated advert consent for a replacement hanging sign, along with restoration work on the current painted pictorial sign and lettering positioned above the entrance.

It was agreed to vest the clerk, following consultation with the chair and deputy chair of the planning and administration committee, with authority to manage any pressing matters emerging during the summer recess.
