During a recent liaison session between the community council and Caerphilly County Borough Council, it emerged that borough officers serving on the Town Centre Group currently lack any allocated funds.
Several concerns were voiced regarding the apparent failure of community councillors’ opinions to receive proper consideration despite the existence of a formal charter.
The Labour Group has previously voted to eliminate the voluntary sector committee and substitute it with one under their control, raising questions about whether the Community Council Group might face similar dissolution and be replaced by a single Labour cabinet representative.
