Summary of recent magistrates’ court matters. Matthew Jonas-Alexander, 37, residing at Thames Close, Bettws, Newport was ordered to pay £428 comprising fine, costs and surcharge for operating a motor vehicle without valid licence endorsement. Three penalty points were recorded on his driving licence. Sara Williams, 30, of South Bank, Beaufort, Ebbw Vale received a total payment requirement of £1,044 including fine, costs and surcharge for driving a vehicle on a road or public place without insurance coverage. Six penalty points were added to her driving licence. Mckenzie Belt, living at Orchard Gardens, Newport was fined £428 with costs and surcharge for maintaining a motor vehicle lacking appropriate insurance. Michael Devlin, 42, of Russell Drive, Newport must pay £410 in fines, costs and back duty for possessing an unlicensed vehicle. Andrew Lee, residing at Carmel Close, Garnlydan, Ebbw Vale received a £220 fine together with £85 costs and £48.75 back duty for keeping an unlicensed vehicle. Hannah Parry-Barrett, 43, of Caerwent Road, Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran was ordered to pay £288 including fine, costs and surcharge for operating or installing a television without a valid licence. Craig Baker, 41, of Tolpath, Coed Eva, Cwmbran must pay £408 comprising fine, costs and surcharge for maintaining a motor vehicle that failed to meet insurance requirements. Kimberley Jones, 39, of Llys Gwyrdd, Henllys, Cwmbran was fined £428 with costs and surcharge for exceeding speed limits in a 20mph area. Three penalty points were endorsed on her driving licence. Ren Smith, 27, of The Mall, Cwmbran received a £140 fine plus surcharge for speeding in a 30mph zone. Three penalty points were applied to their driving licence. Matthew Thomas, 38, of Diamond Close, Energlyn, Caerphilly was ordered to pay £1,044 including fine, costs and surcharge for driving a motor vehicle on a road or public place without insurance. Six penalty points were recorded on his driving licence.
