Three streets share £1k Postcode Lottery win with £20.2m prize coming in May

Three roads across the South Wales Argus coverage area are set to receive £1,000 windfalls from the People’s Postcode Lottery this month, while participants have been informed they could bag a share of a £20.2 million prize fund during May’s draws.

The latest payouts have arrived for residents in Blackwood, Rogiet and Brynmawr between 4 and 29 April 2026, following the selection of their postcodes in the lottery’s daily prize draw.

In Blackwood, householders on Tynycoed Crescent are set for a four-figure boost after postcode NP12 3LL was selected for a £1,000 daily prize. Every ticket registered to that postcode will be worth £1,000, so families entering with more than one ticket receive multiples of the payout.

This comes after prior postcode lottery victories in the town in recent years, with Blackwood residents having previously celebrated identical £1,000 prizes.

Moving further east, residents on Common Road in Rogiet have also had fortune smile upon them after NP26 3SX was confirmed as a £1,000 winner during the same April timeframe. The Monmouthshire settlement lies within the NP26 district close to Caldicot, with Common Road cutting through the centre of Rogiet. Each participant signed up with that postcode will collect the full £1,000 per ticket, providing a pleasant cash boost for the street.

In Blaenau Gwent, the People’s Postcode Lottery has produced another £1,000-per-ticket outcome for King Edward Road in Brynmawr, where postcode NP23 4SD has additionally been drawn for the daily prize. The terraced road, forming part of the Ebbw Vale postal district, lies near the town centre and extends toward the Lakeside Retail Park. With numerous households taking part, the total value of prize money entering the community is expected to reach several thousand pounds.

All three Argus-region postcodes form part of the People’s Postcode Lottery’s standard weekday Daily Prize programme, which distributes £1,000 per ticket to dozens of postcodes across Britain daily. As the April winners celebrate, the lottery has announced that participants can secure a share of £20.2 million during May’s draws, provided they register in time, raising the possibility of additional streets in Gwent and elsewhere joining the list of winners next month.
