Firefighters rescue occupant from burning house in urgent operation

A residential blaze in the Croesyceiliog district of Cwmbran has left locals shaken and worried.

Emergency crews were dispatched on Wednesday evening, April 29, to Glaslyn Court after reports emerged of a dwelling consumed by fire.

Witnesses indicated that an occupant was led to safety from the home. One observer stated they had managed to extract him.

Regarding the occurrence, a representative from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service indicated that the service received notification at roughly 18:47 on April 29 concerning a fire at a bungalow on Glaslyn Court in Cwmbran.

Firefighters from Porthcawl, New Inn and Abersychan stations responded with appliances and brought the blaze under control using hose reel jets, a safety jet and breathing apparatus sets.

The all-clear was issued at 20:21.
