Emily Morgan, 32, residing at Palmyra Place in Newport, was ordered to pay £125 in fines and costs after admitting to behaving in a drunk and disorderly manner on Cardiff Road on April 7.
Aqib Hamid, 23, of Anderson Grove, Newport, received a 12-month driving ban after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of drugs with cannabis detected in his system on Queensway on December 19 last year. He was also required to pay £729 in fines, costs and a surcharge.
Daniel Hopkins, 41, from Eureka Place in Ebbw Vale, was prohibited from driving for 25 months after confessing to drink driving with 90 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath on Mount Pleasant Road on April 7. He must pay £365 comprising fines, costs and a surcharge.
Rachael Barnaby, 31, of Beech Tree View in Caerphilly, was disqualified from driving for seven days after acknowledging she exceeded the speed limit by travelling at 58mph in a 50mph zone on the eastbound M4 motorway in Newport between Junction 25 and Junction 24 on September 21 last year. She was ordered to pay £225 in fines, costs and a surcharge.
Daniel Gilbert, 29, from Mynydd View in Cwmfields, Pontypool, was fined £1,044 including costs and surcharge for operating a motor vehicle or trailer in a condition that posed a risk of injury. Three penalty points were added to his driving licence.
Jonathan Wannell, 41, of Glanshon Court in Pantside, Newbridge, was banned from driving for 14 months after admitting to drug driving with cocaine present in his blood on Bridge Street on December 22 last year. He was directed to pay £253 in fines, costs and a surcharge.
Christian Mills, 46, of Allt-Yr-Yn Avenue in Newport, was ordered to pay £270 in fines, costs and surcharge after pleading guilty to travelling at 58mph in a 50mph zone on the westbound M4 motorway at Junction 19 in South Gloucestershire on July 26 last year. Three penalty points were recorded on his driving record.
Daniel Jenkins, 33, with no fixed address in Blackwood, was sentenced to 12 weeks’ imprisonment after pleading guilty to racially aggravated harassment causing alarm or distress to a custody detention officer on March 14 last year. He must pay £100 in compensation and £85 in costs.
