Four Held After Police Respond to Reported Dawn Assault

Four people were arrested after a woman was reportedly attacked in Cwmbran on the morning of Tuesday, April 28.

The incident occurred on Victoria Street in Old Cwmbran at approximately 5:10 a.m.

According to a Gwent Police spokesperson, officers were on scene after receiving a report of a woman being attacked at approximately 5:10 a.m. Four individuals, all residing in the Cwmbran area, have been detained on suspicion of assault and are currently being held in police custody.

Four Cwmbran residents have been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in custody.

Officials said the woman’s injuries were not serious and that she did not require hospital treatment or any medical care.

A police cordon remains in place, though vehicles can travel through in both directions.

The barrier will stay in position as the investigation continues.
