A UK-wide programme aims to support grassroots ventures that bring improvements to neighbourhoods.

Caremark has announced its Community Care Fund to support proposals that enhance daily life throughout the United Kingdom, offering three awards of £3,000 each to successful applicants.

David Glover, Chief Executive at Caremark, said the company sees every day how local schemes can bring communities together and raise living standards.

The Community Care Fund reflects the company’s commitment to recognising and enabling ideas that can truly change lives across the UK.

It also focuses on giving neighbourhoods a voice.

Many outstanding projects create positive outcomes, often without attracting attention, and the company wants to hear about them.

By opening nominations to the public, the expectation is that people will put forward schemes that matter to them and help secure funding that can make real differences.

The initiative invites individual residents, community groups and charity organisations operating in Wales to propose projects that serve their local area.

Possible submissions include modernising local facilities, creating better play spaces for children, or helping charitable groups improve their buildings.

The only requirement is that the project must deliver a clear, demonstrable benefit to the community.

Entries are open to anyone living in the UK who is at least 18 years old, and must include a brief explanation of how the money would be spent along with a supporting photograph.

One candidate will be chosen from each of Caremark’s twelve operating regions and go forward to a public vote to decide the three recipients.

The deadline for entries is midnight on 31 May 2026.
