Newport City Council has announced overnight road works scheduled for this evening (April 28) and tomorrow evening (April 29), running from 8pm until 5am.

The section impacted spans between the M4 roundabout and the Harlequin roundabout.

According to the council, the work involves repainting road markings and fixing gullies and manhole covers after the resurfacing completed last weekend.

Throughout these times, the road will stay accessible to traffic, though one lane will be closed to ensure worker safety.

Temporary traffic signals will also be operating to manage vehicle flow.

Additionally, footpath upgrades are planned for daytime hours on Wednesday, April 29, between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
