Small business proprietors can win complimentary booth accommodation at a major British trade show via a contest organised by Theo Paphitis.

The Small Business Sunday scheme is now accepting entries, with victors gaining exhibition space at the 2027 Spring Fair running from February 7th to 10th, 2027, at the NEC Birmingham location.

Eighteen free pitches will be allocated within the Village, allowing firms to showcase their products at one of the UK’s largest retail trade events.

Theo Paphitis, a retail entrepreneur and founder of the programme, expressed enthusiasm about the continued partnership with Spring Fair. He noted that the annual SBS x Spring Fair competition provides winners with an excellent cost-free opportunity to exhibit their goods, forge fresh business relationships, and develop their enterprises. The initiative has been expanded this cycle, with 18 spaces now offered in the Village rather than the previous allocation of 12.

Since 2018, the SBS x Spring Fair partnership has helped more than 80 small businesses reach wider commercial audiences. Spring Fair’s event director, Fay Tranter, highlighted the tangible outcomes of this collaboration, describing the partnership with the team as extremely beneficial. She expressed satisfaction at deepening the commitment to emerging and growing retail businesses by increasing the complimentary space provision from 12 to 18.

Participation is limited to winners, though businesspeople can join the community to become eligible for future competitions. The closing date for submissions is June 21st.
