Published on

Commuters are facing significant congestion on the M4 Eastbound carriageway between junction 28 at Tredegar Park and junction 23A near Magor. Motorists should factor in additional travel time.

Traffic is currently experiencing delays of roughly eight minutes with vehicles progressing at approximately 15 miles per hour.

Further along the route, delays of around four minutes are being reported between junction 28 and junction 25A serving Newport and Cwmbran, where traffic is moving at around 20mph.

Between junction 25 at Caerleon and junction 24 at Coldra, vehicles are crawling along at an average speed of 15mph.

The situation has since improved with traffic flows returning to normal conditions. Both carriageways are now operating smoothly, bringing this update to a close.
