Woman from Newport pleads guilty to bar indecency

A woman aged 48 has admitted guilt for an act that shocked members of the public by exposing her breasts and genitals.

Michaela Johnson, whose address is Ogmore Crescent, Bettws, Newport, also entered guilty pleas for behaving in a drunk and disorderly fashion.

Both incidents took place on March 6.

At Newport Magistrates’ Court, she was handed a 12-month community order.

She must complete a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and will be subject to an eight-week electronically monitored curfew between 8pm and 6am.

Johnson was instructed to pay £85 in costs.

The defendant further admitted guilt for failing to attend court while on bail on March 23.
