A 25-year-old man from Caerphilly has been found guilty of possessing 100 indecent photographs of children and contravening a sexual harm prevention order. Jake James, of Caerphilly Road in Ystrad Mynach, entered guilty pleas to 29 category A indecent images of minors, representing the most severe category encompassing images of rape, along with 41 category B images and 30 category C images. The offences occurred between 1 May 2025 and 30 August 2025, Newport Magistrates’ Court heard. The sexual harm prevention order had been made in May the previous year. James appeared before the magistrates’ court before his case was forwarded to the crown court for sentencing on 18 May. He was held on remand.
