Chats ‘n’ Plaits

A no-cost session dubbed Chats ‘n’ Plaits is scheduled at Le Pub in Newport on Sunday, April 26, centred on hair styling tuition. The daytime portion runs from 4pm to 6pm and targets youngsters alongside their guardians, with Phoebe from Pheebs Does Hair delivering practical demonstrations. An evening slot from 6.30pm to 8.30pm welcomes adults exclusively, establishing a relaxed atmosphere for attendees to hone techniques using practice heads. The gathering provides an open invitation for people to acquire an enjoyable new ability.

ABBA Tribute

Blackwood RFC plays host to an energetic ABBA Tribute night headlined by Kiss The Teacher. The act incorporates multiple costume shifts and showcases the entire ABBA back catalogue, featuring classics such as Dancing Queen and Mamma Mia alongside other crowd favourites. While dressing in ABBA or 1970s fashion is optional, doing so is recommended to fully appreciate the experience. The show starts at 8pm on Saturday, April 25.

April Bookclub Meet-Up

Book enthusiasts can join the Forbidden Chapters Bookclub gathering at The Carro Lounge in Cwmbran, where conversation will focus on the novel ‘Dire Bound’. Sebastopol Social Club invites The Goodges to deliver a live rock covers set. With two decades of collaborative performances behind them, the band interprets enduring anthems from musicians such as Queen, AC/DC, and The Beatles. Entry requires £3 for club members and £4 for those without membership. Critics have characterised the act as featuring jubilant guitars and rousing vocals. The performance begins on Saturday, April 25, at 8.45pm.
