Drivers experience half-hour hold-ups on M4 following collision

Drivers face delays of around half an hour following a collision near Magor

Welcome to our real-time travel updates. Reports have come in of an incident close to Magor that is causing disruption for road users in the area and on the M4 motorway.

There are significant hold-ups of 33 minutes and the situation is worsening on the M4 eastbound carriageway between junction 24 at the A449 near Coldra and junction 23 for the M48. Vehicles are travelling at an average of just five miles per hour.

The backlog has formed because of the collision near Magor. Images from Traffic Wales and the AA road map show the extent of the queuing traffic.

Gwent Police have been asked to provide additional details about the incident.
