A popular family theatre production is set to return to UK venues.

There’s a Monster in Your Show, adapted from Tom Fletcher’s Who’s in Your Book? book series, will launch its fifth major tour next year.

The production visits Maesteg Town Hall on May 9.

Tom Fletcher, the writer and creative team member, described it as a remarkable adventure seeing the characters he created brought to the stage with vibrant energy and personality.

He explained that for him, the show represents an ideal introduction to theatre for young children. He acknowledged that taking children to watch a live performance can seem intimidating, but emphasised that the production was specifically designed with young families in mind.

The approximately 50-minute show features musical elements, interactive entertainment, original songs, and numerous chances for young audience members to join in by singing, dancing, and calling out alongside the performers.

Since launching its tour in October 2023, the production has been experienced by more than 100,000 children and their families.

The narrative centres on a cast of entertainers who realise they are not by themselves on stage when a Little Monster brings along companions including Dragon, Alien, and Unicorn to participate in the performance.
