A 46-year-old woman has received a fine and been told to compensate a rugby club after pleading guilty to criminal damage involving glue in locks. Chantelle Devlin appeared at Newport Magistrates’ Court, where it was disclosed she had damaged multiple door locks at Chepstow RFC. The incident occurred on September 19 of the previous year. Devlin, who resides on Lord Eldon Drive in Thornwell, Chepstow, received an £80 fine and was directed to provide the club with £250 in compensation. She must also pay an £85 victim surcharge to the court.
