A unique coffee launch is delivering global impact with every purchase made.
Cardiff-based Hard Lines has partnered with Size of Wales to unveil Colombia Mujeres, a special blend designed to safeguard forests and support Indigenous communities.
Comedian and writer Kiri Pritchard-McLean is backing the project, calling it a step forward for environmental action.
Kiri Pritchard-McLean explained that Hard Lines represents Welsh coffee on the world stage, making their collaboration with Size of Wales a natural fit, or as she put it, a blending of purposes.
She noted that Wales should keep pushing to be a world leader in fighting climate change, and buying this coffee brings the nation closer to that ambition.
Colombia Mujeres is a washed Colombian roast created by women farmers who are part of the CENCOIC cooperative located in Cauca.
The product seeks to encourage sustainable living and protect forest areas.
Between April 22 and 29, each purchase will receive extra backing through the Big Give Earthrise campaign.
Money from coffee sales will be matched during this timeframe, which doubles the support for Size of Wales’ work.
Ruth, who holds the position of head of coffee at Hard Lines, said that working alongside Size of Wales allows the company to do more regarding forest protection and climate issues.
She added that since both organisations are Welsh, the partnership holds special meaning.
