A pub located in the centre of town had items stolen, including a collection container for charity, cash, and alcoholic beverages.

Kieron Davies, who is 39 years old, entered a guilty plea to a breaking and entering charge connected to the event at the McCann’s establishment in Newport.

The offence took place on December 7 the previous year.

District Judge Sophie Toms imposed a sentence of 14 weeks’ imprisonment at Newport Magistrates’ Court.

Having previously lived in Newport, Davies is currently detained at Parc Prison in Bridgend and has been told to provide £250 in restitution.

Earlier in 2024, he served time behind bars for connected offences.
