Collision blocks motorway lane, traffic delays expected

A collision has shut a single lane on the M4 heading westbound between Magor junction 23A and Coldra junction 24.

One lane remains blocked on the westbound carriageway of the M4 due to a road traffic incident. The situation is being monitored and updates will follow.

One lane is shut on the westbound M4 between junctions 23A at Magor and 24 at Coldra. Traffic is starting to queue as a consequence of the closure.

According to the AA, westbound M4 travel times between junction 23A at Magor and junction 24 at Coldra have extended to eight minutes and continue to grow. Vehicles are moving at approximately 10 mph in the affected area.

The incident occurred near Langstone.

Highways officials have confirmed the road traffic incident has been resolved. Traffic is now starting to move more freely.

The congestion has dispersed throughout the area.
