The Chepstow Wig Gig is celebrating its third edition.

The 2026 edition will see the Chepstow events team supporting several local charitable causes, aiming to generate both donations and visibility for community organizations.

What began as an initiative to support cancer research has expanded into an event supporting various local charities, seeking to raise awareness for multiple community causes.

Since launching in April 2024, the organizers have been selling wigs, encouraging individuals to purchase and sport one throughout the day to back the selected charity while enjoying themselves and spreading awareness.

This year, organizers are aiming to boost wig purchases and are inviting everyone to take part in a “Wig Gig Conga” procession circling the bandstand.

The entertainment lineup includes live bands performing all day at the bandstand, along with a bouncy castle, various games, refreshments, football activities, and plenty of enjoyment for attendees.

The Chepstow events team operates under the slogan “No Wiggy, No Giggy.
