Suspect hurls brick at officers during late-night car pursuit

A 23-year-old individual has been taken into custody after allegedly launching a brick at officers during a vehicle pursuit.

Gwent Police’s Roads Policing and Specialist Operations team apprehended the suspect following the chase through the Caerphilly county area on Tuesday, 31 March.

The individual, from Cefn Fforest near Blackwood in the Caerphilly district, has been granted conditional bail as inquiries continue.

Footage also emerged showing the moment the suspect reportedly threw the brick at a police vehicle during the late-night pursuit along country roads.

Police are urging anyone with relevant information or footage to contact them by calling 101, using the force website, or sending a message via Facebook or X social media platforms, quoting reference 2600099318.
